Happy Hens

Our hens have a pretty good life! They have free access to the outdoors during the day time. In addition to certified organic grains, our hens eat garden leftovers (a.k.a. exciting treats) and all the pasture grasses and insects they can forage. During the spring, summer and fall we move our henhouse to fresh pasture every week. In the winter, the hens have daytime access to our greenhouse which allows them to stay active and get lots of sunshine.

As a result of their lifestyle, they are very happy hens and they produce delicious and nutritious brown eggs with deep orange yolks.

How it works

One egg share is six eggs per week for 52 weeks. Eggs are distributed weekly from June to October along with the vegetable shares. The rest of the year pick up is every other week on Tuesday evenings at one downtown location or at the farm for those on Howe Island.

Registration

There are no egg shares available at this time.

When we have extra eggs they are available for sale by the dozen. For more information please contact Emily.
